After five years of college (and at the end of it), I was ready to begin. I think most stages in life are that way: we learn in the end what we needed to know in the beginning.

Because of this revelation (which fueled the drive for me to write two books on the transition from high school to college...see www.adamerwin.com) , I have decided to dedicate my life study to the pursuit of wisdom on time. I am committed to studying what it is that I need to know when I need to know it! Part of the responsibility of wisdom is to share it when called upon. As I feel called, I will share what I've learned.

Currently, I am 25 years old and single. I am sure that when I marry (if I marry...God is never late, but I'm wondering about the battery in His watch!), I will sit back and figure out some things that I should've applied to my time as a single man. My study right now is how to finish strong as a single.

Additionally, I am a few years out of college. When I am 40, 50, and 60, I will have filtered down some marvelous distinctions as to how I could've best used my time directly out of college. With that in mind, I am also studying what it is I need to know right after graduation that will propel me to the greatest life of freedom and fulfillment beyond the doors of college.

Inevitably, wisdom is typically a fuction of experience, role modeling, and spiritual maturity. It is our choice as to whose experience from which we draw forth wisdom. We can learn from the experience and wisdom of others (other people are our greatest resource, with exception of God...who is actually the Source), or we can rely solely on our own experience to help in the cultivation of wisdom. I am committed to the pursuit of maximizing the wisdom to be gained from the experiences of others. Role modeling is also a key. We wouldn't ask Tiger Woods to help us learn how to hit a curveball and we wouldn't ask Albert Pujols for advice on hitting an effective 5-iron (although Pujols hits a baseball as far as most people hit their 5-iron). I am committed to putting myself at the feet of the teachers who are in life when God has me going. Spiritual maturity is the final piece of wisdom (in this entry, at least!). God is wisdom, and the pursuit of God through the study of His word, fellowship, and prayer is the most important element of wisdom on time (TM). God is the timeliest teacher, He is the inventor of experience, and He is the wellspring of wisdom. Through experience, role modeling, and the pursuit of spiritual maturity, I am passionate and committed to the study of and attainment of wisdom of time (TM). And then...I'll pass along that wisdom to you.
